Domain Naming Rules

  • LengthDomain names must be between 3 and 63 characters.
  • CharactersOnly letters (a–z), digits (0–9), and hyphens (-) are permitted.
  • HyphensDomain names cannot begin or end with a hyphen, and cannot have two consecutive hyphens in positions 3 and 4 (unless they are IDN encoded).
  • CaseDomain names are case-insensitive. Uppercase and lowercase are treated as identical.
  • RelevanceThe domain name must be associated with the registrant's business name, trademark, or recognised service.
  • Reserved namesNames of government bodies, national symbols, BOCRA, and strategic names are reserved and require special approval.
  • Prohibited namesObscene, offensive, or misleading domain names are prohibited and will be rejected.
